Staying Healthy with the Seasons
October 25, 2:30 - 4:00
Fall is a time of transition both in our bodies and our minds. Learn how to prepare yourself and your family for the changes
that autumn and winter bring through food and lifestyle choices. This workshop will cover the health benefits of a variety of
seasonal foods that "ground" us including whole grains, beans, tubers and winter squash to name a few. We'll touch on
the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water and how they relate to what you eat, how you exercise, your
moods and planning activities. You'll come away with resources for how to modify your family's lifestyle and eating habits
for optimal health during seasonal changes.

Healthy Kids Need Healthy Lunches
November 15, 2:30 - 4:00
Are you confused about what to feed your children? Well, you're not alone. Most parents want to create healthy snacks
and meals for their children, but stumble upon a lot of conflicting nutrition information. In this seminar, you will find out
what foods to avoid and which to include when making healthy choices for your little ones. In addition to discussing
healthy snack and lunch ideas, Kim will share with you her experiences involving children in the process of growing and
cooking their own food. Studies have shown that children who grow and cook their own food are more likely to eat fruits
and vegetables and have more positive attitudes towards them than children who have no investment in the process at all.
This can be a daunting thought for many parents, but Kim will help you get started in whatever capacity makes the most
sense for you and your lifestyle!
